Academic Advising: SMART RE-START 2022
I ideated and organized this hybrid event in my role as the COSE Graduate Assistant to help our students "re-start strong" academically. It was very well received by students and faculty as I tried to reinvigorate student enthusiasm for school in the form of a mini-intervention.
Academic Advising: Drop-In Study Nights
I initiated this study night event as a way to provide our students with a quiet study space where they could hold community with other COSE students that were in the same boat as them while studying for finals with snacks and goodwill to get them through finals week.
Career Advising: Career Fairs 101
I organized and prepped this workshop to prepare our students for U of M's Career Fairs in partnership with our career fairs' gold sponsors, especially since 2022 and 2023 are a lot of our students' first time attending career fairs in-person.
Career Advising: Internships 101
I guest lectured for St Cloud State's STEM 199: Research Methodology and GENG 101: Ethics and Engineering Profession in the Fall 2021 and put together this deck to demystify myths about the internship search process.
Career Advising: Interviewing 101
I designed this lecture as the co-instructor for U of M's CDes 3201: Career and Internship Planning course to help students prepare for the interview process.

I created this lecture as the co-instructor for U of M's CDes 3201: Career and Internship Planning course as they start the job hunting process.
Career Advising: Life and Career Path Planning

Career Advising: Workplace Respect
Through this lecture for U of M's CDes 3201: Career and Internship Planning, I taught students helpful personal strategies and advice as they navigate workplace culture and power dynamics.
Conference: Intrusive Advising
NASPA Regions IV-West and East are home to some of richest science and engineering curriculums in the world. Even so, retention of traditionally underrepresented groups plagues STEM post-secondary education. Intrusive advising can be the differentiator that sets you apart from other “okay” advisors to be an advising "superhero". Through my SA talk, I shared my insight on how to be proactive and harness the superpower of compassion and student development theory.
Conference: Supporting minoritized STEM populations
The perceived difficulty of a STEM major creates a vicious generational cycle whereby due to the lack of appropriate resources and encouragement from student affairs personnel, minoritized student groups are deterred from pursuing a STEM degree. Through my session, we will dive deeper into why this happens and how we can improve retention of this student population in STEM.
Assessment: International Graduate Student Belonging
I spearheaded my team in researching international graduate students' sense of belonging at SCSU over a semester long study leading to insightful recommendations for student affairs educators and implications for future research.
Assessment: Service Evaluation Survey
I relaunched the CIS office service evaluation in Qualtrics that directly resulted in a 40% increase in response rate from the previous year and helped us gain new insights to inform thoughtful practice.
Facilitation: Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace
I facilitated this team building activity to increase team members' sense of belonging by identifying their preferred languages of receiving appreciation.
Social Justice: Identity Map
Through this self reflective presentation, I was able to identify and delve deeper into one of my most salient social identities and how it shapes my student affairs practice as part of my CCSD coursework.
Mental Health: Wellness Coaching
I mastered the art of motivational interviewing to help our students navigate their college lives and nurture good habits that aligned with their personal goals. I boasted a 100% return rate for my clients.
Social Justice: My Positionality
I self reflected on my salient social identities, my positionality and how they have shaped my worldview through this class presentation as part of my CCSD coursework.
